This authentic Puma jersey features 1999 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, defensive end Jevon Kearse. "The Freak" enjoyed one of the most dominant rookie campaigns in NFL as a member of the Tennessee Titans in 1999, tallying 14.5 sacks & anchoring a defense that went on a dominant Cinderella run to an AFC Championship & appearance in Super Bowl XXXIV.

This original 1999 jersey is an extremely rare Puma authentic - much more scarce than the widely-produced 2000 Puma release. The '99 Puma authentics were manufactured by Ripon Athletic in Berlin, WI USA - the same factory that produced the on-field NFL game jerseys.

There are several "tells" to differentiate this rare 1999 edition from the common 2000 version:

• Made in Berlin, WI USA manufacturer's tag
• White size tag on Puma-branded jock tag
• No hanging collar tag
• On-field-style cuffed sleeves
• Identical emblems & materials as '99 Titans game jerseys

This jersey features era-accurate dual-layered ribbed dazzle twill numbers. The Titans alternate sword logo, embroidered & sewn into each sleeve, with an embroidered Puma logo above each. The Titans wordmark is set beneath the classic NFL shield logo, sewn into the woven collar.

This jersey was one of the last official retail releases to feature authentic team issue-grade materials. Subsequent NFL authentic jersey releases featured lower-quality production from factories in El Salvador & Korea.
