This authentic Ripon Athletic game jersey features Pitt Panthers & Dallas Cowboys legend, running back Tony Dorsett. Tony is arguably one of the best running backs in both college & pro football history, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1976 during his senior season at Pitt. Uniquely, Dorsett’s number was retired during halftime of his final Pitt home game, making him the only player to wear his own number following its retirement 🤯
This jersey is an exclusive authentic game-model jersey. Ripon Athletic has made the majority of the NFL & NCAA on-field jerseys for over five decades, including the Starter-branded game jerseys worn by the Pitt Panthers in 1991. The “Pitt” script logos on each sleeve match the style worn during the Panthers ‘91 campaign. This jersey was likely produced as a presentation jersey honoring Dorsett, given that no player has worn his number 33 since his graduation almost fifty years ago.
All numbers & sleeve stripes feature era-accurate heavyweight screenprinting - very durable & vibrant!
